A former President of the Caribbean Philosophical Association, he is Senior Associate of the BlackHouse Kollective-Soweto, and Co-Chair of the Frantz Fanon Foundation. His work focuses on ethics, social, political, and decolonial philosophy with particular attention to philosophical expressions in the Global South. His publications include Against War: Views from the Underside of Modernity (2008), the co-edited book Decolonial Feminism in Abya Yala (2021), and recent book chapters such as “Combative Decoloniality and the Abolition of the Humanities: A Manifesto,” in the Routledge Companion to Postcolonial and Decolonial Literature (2025), and “Palestine, the War on Decolonization, and Combative Decoloniality” in The SAGE Handbook of Decolonial Theory (2025).

A Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) Report for Freie Universität Berlin

This report argues for the necessity of a boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign targeting Israeli academic institutions at the Freie Universität Berlin (FU), specifically focusing on the ties it has with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJ). It calls for the FU to suspend these collaborations and conduct a thorough investigation into its ties with these institutions and the FU involvement in these violations to international law, including war crimes and genocide against Palestinians.
